In “DLA Piper Wants Sanctions For $180M Malpractice Suit,” Law 360 writes about firm client, China AI’s recently dropped derivative lawsuit against DLA Piper.

China AI filed its $180 million derivative suit against the law firm and partner Caryn G. Schechtman on behalf of Link Motion in December, arguing that DLA Piper failed to recognize that the plaintiff in the underlying shareholder derivative suit against Link Motion did not have standing to sue.

The case is China AI Capital Ltd. v. DLA Piper LLP (US) et al., case number 1:21-cv-10911, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Rosanne E. Felicello, Kristie M. Blase and Michael J. Maloney represent China AI Capital in this matter.
